A major manufacturer of biscuits in Pakistan has recently taken delivery of three new Marden Edwards overwrapping machines. To ensure that its products are completely protected from the factory to the consumer and that the freshness of its products is guaranteed, the manufacturer overwraps their range of tea biscuits.

Marden Edwards has recently supplied a B100FF fully automatic over wrapping machine to a major confectionery company in Nigeria. The product that is being wrapped is a distribution pack of individual, twist wrapped pieces of bubblegum. Each carton contains ninety pieces of bubblegum which are sold individually from the shop. The use of an open top carton enables clear visibility of the product inside. The machine was set to wrap at forty cartons per minute.

A major American pharmaceutical company has installed a number of overwrapping lines supplied by UK machinery manufacturer Marden Edwards Ltd and several of the lines are equipped with specially designed turning units, enabling them to handle both standard rectangular and fith panel cartons without any major adjustments or slowing down of the lines. Altogether the customer uses 13 different sizes of carton for the creams and lotions it produces, all of which are wrapped in groups of six for distribution. While grouping rectangular cartons into a uniform collation ready for wrapping is a simple task for the Marden Edwards BX 125 collator/overwrappers already supplied, the fith panel cartons require extra handling.

The Evo-Fold has been designed as an entry level, fully automatic overwrapping machine capable of speeds up to 45 packs per minute. Typical applications that the machine has been designed for include the wrapping of tea, confectionery, cosmetic and tobacco products.
