Pralibel NV, a major manufacturer of artisan Belgian chocolates, has just purchased its second Marden Edwards overwrapping machine. Pralibel, who are located in the town of Vichte in Belgium, was formed in 1995 and was recognised as the fastest growing food business in Belgium in 2005. They produce a range of high quality chocolates under both their own name and the Fair Trade label.

Scent Packing, a new UK company set up to package perfumes, has just taken delivery of a new Marden Edwards Evo-Fold overwrapper. Scent Packing is the brainchild of Glenn and Nathan Griffiths and has been set up to contract fill and packsignature or celebrity fragrances. As with all perfume and fragrance manufacture and packing, all aspects of production must be of the highest quality to ensure that the finished product is perfect.

Marden Edwards has recently supplied one of Russia’s oldest established manufacturers of confectionery products with a new BX100FF over wrapping machine. The BX100FF wraps the chocolate boxes at a rate of 50 wraps per minute.

Marden Edwards will be exhibiting it’s new BX100FF playing card overwrapping machine at the forthcoming Drupa exhibition in Dusseldorf. Drupa is the world’s largest paper and printing exhibition and the Marden Edwards machine is being shown on the Rollem stand in Hall 11.

Marden Edwards has recently manufactured a large format S4B225FF overwrapping machine for wrapping very large cartons of chocolate selections. The largest box being overwrapped is 460mm long and 320mm wide whilst the smallest carton that the machine is wrapping is only 100mm long and 100mm wide. Although the size range being wrapped is very large, the time taken to change over from one size to another is still less than 15 minutes. Using quick release tooling, once the size change has taken place the machine is ready for the production run.

Marden Edwards has recently supplied a new TM100 fully automatic overwrapping machine to a major manufacturer and distributor of pre-recorded DVDs in France. The machine was purchased for the re-wrapping of DVDs that have been returned from retailers. The machine therefore needed to be able to wrap individual DVDs as well as multi packs of up to five high.
