PPMA has just closed it doors on its exhibition The PPMA  Show is the UK’s showcase for processing & packaging machinery 29September – 01 October 2009.

Marden Edwards Group including Wraps UK exhibited a wide range of machines and systems on their stand, according to Mr Martin Gray, m.gray@mardenedwards.com, ”We found the show well attended with both new contacts and many existing customers . A third of the equipment exhibited is on its way to customers’ factories.”

Wraps UK as part of the Marden Edwards Group Stand showed the AS95 sleeve wrapper system linked to a HS95 shrink tunnel. The AS is the latest generation of transit wrap sleeve wrapping machine.  Drawing on over twenty-five years of machine building experience, the AS incorporates many performance improvements. Manufactured in Wraps UK’s Wimborne factory, the AS now has a more robust construction for ‘heavy duty’ applications. It continues to be simple to use and straightforward to maintain.

Alongside this automated system Wraps demonstrated the LST50 range of semi automatic L sealers which provide both performance and value for money. Consisting of an integrated L sealer and heat shrink tunnel the unit uses a standard 13amp electrical supply, so is a low cost and mobile ‘plug-and-play’ system, with proven reliability to give excellent pack presentation.

To complete the exhibit Wraps demonstrated the Combo 55 chamber shrink wrapping machine, an all in one shrink wrap solution for high quality presentation wrapping, coupled with a large pack size range, at a very competitive price.

Marden Edwards showed its Evo-Fold an entry level, fully automatic overwrapping machine for medium speed applications. Typical applications include the wrapping of tea, confectionery, cosmetic and pharmaceutical products. The Evo-Fold competes directly with automatic shrink wrapping machines for price and has the extra benefits of reduced energy consumption, the use of low cost films and a high quality wrap and seal. Manufactured in the UK, the Evo-Fold is a finely honed design resulting from over 9,000 overwrappers having been installed in over 150 countries worldwide.
