Givenchy, the famous French Couture and Fragrance Company, has just taken delivery of a Marden Edwards TM100FF in line, lateral edge seal, overwrapping machine for over wrapping their high quality range of skin care products, “Tone it Tender”.

The TM100 is well established in France as an overwrapper ideally suited to the ultra high quality cosmetics and perfume industry. Rapid size change and very high quality of wrap are essential requirements for the industry.

Up until now the TM100 has only been available with products fed from the side. To meet Givenchy’s production line layout an in-line version was supplied. The machine was also equipped with a film registration system to enable Givenchy Perfumes to use pre-printed film. The TM100 uses a servo motor driven film feeding system enabling the position of the printed film to be moved around the pack, even during production. The innovative new system can also compensate for poorly printed film when the registration marks have not been printed at a constant pitch

Mr. Julien Garry, Cosmetics Production Manager at Givenchy, said “We chose the Marden Edwards machine because it gives us the ability to change from one size to another very quickly. The design also allows operators and engineers quick access to the machine to ensure that the product is being wrapped well. We also chose the machine due to the support and ongoing knowledge provided by Involtec, Marden Edwards’ agent in France who provides both tooling and service which meet our high expectations. We expect this to be the start of a long partnership”
